I use 'Allergenics', it's the best cream i've found and i've used loads in the past... I never touch any of the Olay stuff... There are so many chemicals in most cosmetic creams, and they can end up doing more worse than good in the long run.. Allergenics Cream is 100% natural, and stays like a moisturising layer over your skin until you wash it off with water.. I put it on at night and it lasts all night and all day.. until I wash it off and reapply the following night.. it's very practical and gives incredible results..
References :
For really dry skin care, Dermatologists highly recommend Neutrogena Skin Care Products because they make a lot of different formulas for all skin types -- oily, dry, combination, teen or acne prone, sensitive or mature skin. The entire line of
Neutrogena Skin Care Products is also hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic (safe for not having reactions to products and they will not cause acne, blackheads, whiteheads or any other type of breakouts). Those are very important words to look for when you want something to put on your face. Good safe skin lines to me equates with hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic products. Most sensitive skin care items are also fragrance free too which can be very helpful to your skin.

If you apply sunscreen under your moisturizer, it can help your
skin from chapping, turning red, and getting windburned, too.
I use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock with 70 SPF because where I live, I have to protect my skin from a lot
of sun about eight months out of the year. I live in the Southern
U.S. But sunscreen is recommended for cold and hot weather
to protect your skin from UVB and UVA rays. UVB rays are the ones that burn your skin and cause your skin to wrinkle the
fastest and make it look leathery.

My doctors told me not to wash my face with commercially
advertised soaps like Dove. I like Purpose Cleanser, Eucerin Skin Cleanser, and Neutrogena Gentle Face Wash or the Foaming Wash. And Cetaphil Lotion is also a good lotion, soap-free cleanser, but it may not have enough moisture in it for you since you live in an extremely cold climate.

On my body, I use Softsoap NutraOil Cleanser and before I dry off, I slather my body with Neutrogena Body Oil (it is made
from sesame seed oil and not mineral oil like baby oil, which can actually dry out adult skin and cause little red bumps to come up on your skin). Then I pat my body dry very gently. This Body Oil soaks in fast and leaves your skin really soft and smooth! And most of these products are not expensive like the Department Store brands can be.

If you happen to need something a little bit heavier for winter use, you can try Eucerin lotion or cream for your face. It is very
heavy duty but it does the trick and it is also hypoallergenic as
well as noncomedogenic. For daily use, Neutrogena Visibly
Firm is a great everyday moisturizer, when you don't need as heavy of a moisturizer. Visibily Firm contains "active copper,"
a nutrient that is lost from the body as we age and "active copper" helps keep your skin from wrinkling, too. There are all
sorts of Neutrogena facial and body lotions and creams, just
depending on what you need to keep your type of skin soft.

I never put anything on my face unless it states on the product
that it is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic. That in itself takes away a lot of the worry about the products I buy and use. These are the highest kinds of products recommended by Cosmetic Surgeons and Dermatologists for skin care.

Now, if you want something really good to put on your hands and feet, Shea Butter is wonderful, although it is very similar to Vaseline except that it is not petroleum jelly and Shea Butter actually soaks in whereas Vaseline might not. I know Tyra Banks swears by Vaseline, but I just don't think I could ever put anything quite that greasy on my face. My feet and hands, yes, but not my face. I would think that Vaseline would tend to clog pores, but I honestly don't really know about that.
All of these products can be easily purchased at Wal-Mart or any large pharmacy, such as CVS, or the chain drug stores.

I'm just passing on the name of products given to me by some
of the Dermatologists and one Plastic Surgeon that I used to remove some unwanted moles on my face. And I have had really good luck with these products! Good luck! :-)
References :
Hope this helps you out some!! Have a great 2008! :-)

I had this same problem for nearly 15 years. I actually would scratch my legs RAW, until they bled. But I actually did some research and found out that using a liquid body wash with a loofa in the shower, instead of bars of soap, plus using a moisturizer with coconut milk or shea butter in it 2 times a day at the least, will cure dry skin. and i have no lizard skin, or itchy skin for 2 winters now! It works immediately, just keep up with it twice a day. Any brands will work.
References :
For the body- definitely Olay Quench Body Lotion,
but I found, for me, it's too greasy for the face so
for moisturizer- Aveeno Positively Smooth Facial Moisturizer works really well!

Hope one of these works for you!
References :
ok so i've suggested this to so many people but i have extremely dry sensitive skin but i don't want to break out either because the moisturizer has oil.

so i use neutrogena oil free moisturizer for sensitive skin on my face. and for your body use vaseline body lotion, most of their lotions have vitamins to keep your skin healthy and smooth.
