I have spots that won’t respond to various treatments. can my doctor help?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: skincare treatments

It doesn’t seem to be acne, but they flare up a lot sometimes and can be very painfull, as well as annoying. ive tried various products, drinking lots of water and maintaining a balanced diet, i keep a good skincare regime. is there anything my doctor can prescribe?

The miraculous powers assigned to water as far as relieving spots, (and assisting weight loss,) are no more than an urban myth. You could try one of the many over the counter cleanser/degreasers, most are based on peroxide, Panoxyl is a typical example. If this fails the next step is to see your GP for topical or oral antibiotics. Avoid tetracycline and oxytetracyline as they are awkward to take and not very effective, minocycline or lymecycline are better.
