Only use creams when you really need it.
Wait until you actually get wrinkiles in your 40′s or 50′s.
You are putting chemicals on your skin that are not needed and wont help you later in life.

I was wanting to use an anti wrinkle cream to prevent wrinkles because its easier to prevent then reverse. I work in aged care and some of the residents have the most amazing skin- no wrinkles! Because they used anti wrinkle cream from when they were 17-18. So I really want to use an anti wrinkle cream, but not sure which one would be the best for acne prone skin? Money is no object, I always use the expensive brands for my skin care. Really it’s what ever works the best reguardless of price

used motor oil works really well.

Me and my friends were talking about skin products last night and all said about our worry of getting old and having wrinkles.
So my friend who is 23 said that she started using anti-wrinkle cream at 22.
I am 22 and I am wondering if it worth spending some money already on this and whether my skin would get used to it and later not respond to anti-wrinkle creams. Do you believe this could happen?
ANd how old do you think women should start with this type of cream?

Actually, many wrinkle creams contain irritants and toxins that damage the skin. Most of the products, especially the "fast working" stuff irritates the skin so badly so that it swells to fill the wrinkles. You start using some of those products now, and you may be setting yourself up for worse skin down the road.

Honestly, I don’t think there’s any reason for someone your age to use anti-wrinkle products. If you want to do something good for your skin, moisturize, protect against sun damage, and don’t smoke. If you really must use a wrinkle products, make sure the only active ingredient is collagen. That’s pretty much the only anti-wrinkle product that won’t hurt your skin.

1) What are the differences of sclap psoriasis and Seborrhoeic Eczema (on sclap) ?
2) Can you same treatments for both conditions ?
3) Out of the two sclap conditions, Which is worst to have?
4) Do they go away after teenage pubrity?

1) Scalp psoriasis and seborrheic eczema share similar signs of itchiness, redness, and scaly skin. Most often, the scales of psoriasis are thicker and somewhat drier in appearance than are the scales of seborrheic dermatitis. In addition, psoriasis usually affects more than one area of the body. If you have scalp psoriasis, you may also have mild psoriasis on your elbows, knees, hands or feet or may notice subtle nail changes, such as pitting. You can refer to the chart on: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/scalp-psoriasis/AN01177

2) Different conditions require different involvement of treatment. For mild cases, an application of cream or lotion may suffice and be effective. For moderate cases, you may require UV light treatments or a treatment of pills or injections.

3) The conditions of both conditions are quite similar. You should check with your professional physician to see what you can do about your condition. Neither one is worse or better to have.

4) You can continue to develop the condition past puberty.

1) What are the differences of sclap psoriasis and Seborrhoeic Eczema (on sclap) ?
2) Can you same treatments for both conditions ?
3) Out of the two sclap conditions, Which is worst to have?
4) Do they go away after teenage pubrity?

Psoriasis is a condition that has a red appearance and severe flakes-like snow flakes. It is often in patches and on the back of the scalp. People also get it on the body-elbows, hands and feet are common areas. You treat it with topical steroids- anti itch products. Theres many rx foams, oils and sprays. You need a derm to prescribe strong meds. Theres also other treatments like laser, pills and injections.

The other condition I think your referring to is seborrheic dermatitis. It is the medical term for dandruff. itching and mild scaling- not the red thick scaly patches like psoriasis. You use typical head and shoulders shampoos, TGEL, TSAL etc. and topical steroids like psoriasis.

Thenthreesepsoriasisis. which is both toether. Its dandruff with much thicker scale, almost looking like psoriasis. Treatments are the same-topical steroids.

All three are common chronic conditions-meaning you can deal with them forever and find the rightreatmentsts to manage it. You caDevelopop it any time of life and psoriasis is prob the worse to have. It has a more crazy itch and because you flake all over clothing its ofteembarrassingng and harder to treat

My 2yr old has very dry and itchy skin, what cream can i use to clear it up fast?
ok so since my baby was born she has had dry skin, you wouldnt think it to look at her skin though. Iv tried every cream i can think of but nothing seems to get rid of it. She is constantly scratching her neck, belly, back and arms. She is covered it scratch marks. Does anyone have any idea what i can use to get rid of this and fast?

It could be an allergy of some form. Or something other than just dry skin. It might not even have anything to do with her skin itself.
Speak with her doctor about it.

Tips for now.
Bathe her less, think about the detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, body soap, any lotion, etc.
It could also be an allergy to something she eats or drinks regularly.

I have a 4% alpha hydroxy anti-wrinkle cream, and it doesn’t say how long I have to leave it on. The scent is very strong, and 1) my cat tries to lick it at night, and 2) it conflicts with my perfume.

Is there a time limit that the cream stops working at? A certain number of hours until I can wash it off?

4% is very weak. Most research focus on 8% or higher.

At 4%, you do not need to wash it off.

What is the name of the product? If you want a scent-free alternative that you can leave on overnight or during the day, they are:

Alpha Hydrox AHA Enhanced Lotion with 10% glycolic acid
Alpha Hydrox Oil-Free Formula (for oily skin) with 10% glycolic acid
Paula’s Choice Exfoliating 8% Alpha Hydroxy Acid Gel
Paula’s Choice Skin Revealing Body Lotion with 10% AHA

If you are not familiar with alpha hydroxy acids, then you are likely to get irritated. If so, then you can wash it off after a 5-10 minutes or as long as you can handle it. Overtime, your skin build tolerance to the acid and you can leave it on for longer.

I just recent bought a Clarins Multi Active Jour Multi Active Day Cream Early Wrinkle Correction and i wonder if i can start using it now and i’m 25 years old. My friend said i shouldn’t be using it now ’cause the early you start it the more wrinkle and age you will have, but my sister said i should start the early wrinkle correction and sunscreen ASAP now, the early the better. What do you think?

Why would wrinkle cream give you wrinkles, just because you are 25?

You should start using a daily moisturizer (with spf) on your face / ears / neck when you are about 15 or 16, and then start using anti-wrinkle cream around your eyes and your neck (in addition to your daily moisturizer) once you start seeing wrinkles, or about 30 or so.

See your dermatologist for all the details.
