Should I get the spot treatment (17$)

or the clarifying mask (35$)

http://www.murad.com/ibeCCtpItmDspRte.jsp?section=10179&item=12222&minisite=10020

I normally have good skin, but I have 4-5 pimples. And I mean pimples. They are easily covered with makeup, but you can still see the bump.

WHich product should I get?

I would get the clarifying mask because this would also prevent future breakouts.

Anyone tried Harrogate Sulphur Soap and Skincare for eczema, psoriasis and acne?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: skincare treatments

Hello!

A few months ago I read somewhere about the wonders of Harrogate Sulphur skin treatments for eczema, psoriasis and acne. I did some research on the product and there’s not much information out there. Sulphur treatments (mainly Prosacea) has worked wonders for my face and I wanted to hear some feedback on the Harrogate SkinCare products.

Thanks!

P.S. PLEASE don’t reply with a "Never heard of it…" This service is for actual questions-answers….not random comments.

I don’t know. I seen the Sulphur part and when my grandpa was younger they made him take a mixture of cream of tartar (it’s what makes after dinner mints a solid) and sulphur. They made tablets for him to eat. He said it was bitter but it put him into remission, He’s been Psoriasis free for over 60 years now.

Myself, I wanted sulphur tablets but the dr refuses to prescribe anything with sulfur saying it has high counts for causing cancer. It worried me so I’m on Raptiva.

Have you thought of calling a dermotologist to ask them what they thought of the product? I don’t know about your city, but mine you can call up Dr’s and they will give you their opinion on items such as that.

Changes in my skincare regimen, sublock, exfoliater, anti-biotics… help PLEASE!!?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: skincare treatments

Ok, so I have severe acne, whiteheads all over from my forehead to my neck and chest, to my back and shoulders.
Sorry to be gross but it’s the truth.
It has been a problem for me since fourh grade and I am now a sophomore in high school.
Finally I went to my dermatologist because I have tried everything such as:
-Proactive
-Clean and Clear
-Neutrogena
-Proactive Gentle Formula
-SensiClear
-Clearisil Ultra, and many others.
So I was prescribed two treatments, one is an atibiotic, menacycline, and the other is a topical treatment tretinoin.
They are known to cause severe skin sensitivity and dryness. So my dermatologist recomended a sunblock. Also she recomended the neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. So I need to drastically change my skincare regimen.

Here is my current regimen:
- Proactive Gentle Formula Facial Scrub
- Proactive Gentle Formula Toner
- Proactive Gentle Formula Night and Day Lotion
And on occassion when I get dry
- Proactive Green Tea Moisturizer

I hae extremely oily skin but these products are known to cause severe dryness and sunburns, so this is what I have to add to my regimen:

- Oil Free SPF 15 sunblock
- Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash
- Tretinoin (topical cream)
- Menacycline (antibiotic)

Now I am supposed to take the Menacycline twice a day, and apply the Tretinoin at night before bed.
I still want to exfoliate every once in a while or maybe every night, idk.
My dermatologist said to use a face wash with Salicylic Acid which both my current Cleanser and my new Neutrogena Acne Wash have. So idk if I should use my Proactive scrub at night or buy something new or what. Idk when to use these new things, should I still use the toner and lotions? I really don’t know what to do.
Help, Please and Thank You.

Don’t stress out about this, may cause more acne. When i stress i break out. Just ask your dermatologist what to do?

is this ok for a skincare tea tree oil treatment?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: skincare treatments

first i was my face with nothing but warm water, lightly rubbing my skin

then twice a day, morning and night

put about 10 drops of water on a cotton wool pad

then put about 3-4 drops of 100% tea tree oil on the cotton pad

I then wipe it on my face starting from the top corner of my cheek (between my eye and nose) and i wipe across my cheek towards my ear until the cheek is covered

I do the same for the other cheek, then to my lips / chin area, then my nose, forehead and bits to the side of my eyes (with the same pad).

Then finished ! Is that good? anything wrong with it?

yES tea tree oil is a natural healer I use it myself daily on flaws and its so fun too watch my flaws disappear thanks too TTO!

i need some new skincare products . i have mildly oily skin with acne. i’ve tried proactiv and it didnt work. all those acne treatments are so expensive and most people say they dont work anyways, so please dont suggest one. all i want is a good acne face wash or whatever. let me know your everyday skincare routine for clear skin, thanks!
uhmm james person down there, im a vegetarian, i dont eat mcdonalds. so dont go making assumptions because you obviously have no idea what i eat!

You just need the basics and stick to it:
Cleanser

Moisturizer
Spot Treatment/Etc.

Wash morning and night like this:

Sanitize hands.
Splash face (make sure to get the sides not just the center)with warm water to open pores.
Wash face with cleanser.
Wash off product with warm water.
Close pores with cool water.
Pat face dry with a clean towel.
Use a cotton pad to apply toner.
Apply moisturizer when dry.

**See your spot treatment/extra for directions.
If it says apply once a day, apply at night, twice a day=morning and night, etc.

My Products:

Oil Free Cleanser Neutragena
Alcohol Free Toner Neutragena
Clinque Dramatically Different Moisturizer
2-in1 Fight and Fade Acne Gel Neutragena

Little things that make a HUGE difference:

Wash pillow case and bed sheets once a week.
Clean Cell Phone/Phones once a week. (I use baby wipes. DO NOT USE WATER OR PUT IT IN THE WASHING MACHINE)
Drink Plenty of Water.
Throughly remove makeup after use.
When at home, push hair back by wearing a headband.
When you sleep at night, wear hair in ponytail.

Type of doctor that deals with beauty/skincare?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: skincare treatments

What type of doctor besides a dermatologist deals with laser treatments, and anything cosmetic-related such as machines to remove cellulite, etc.?

A plastic surgeon. If you are considering any of these treatments, I would only see either a dermatologist or plastic surgeon that is certified and licensed in the particular procedure you are considering. A ton of other doctors offer these treatments, but they aren’t necessarily qualified to do them. It’s better to pay a little bit more money to someone who is qualified than to save some money and wind up with horrible scarring.

which skincare serum should be applied first?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: skincare treatments

Which should be applied first, an exfoliating serum (such as Clinique Turnaround Concentrate) or an anti-aging serum (such as Kinerase C6 Peptide Intensive Treatment)?
Thanks!

If I was you, I would do one in the morning and one at night. I would definitely do the exfoliating serum in the morning to wake up your skin and the anti-aging one at night when your skin is repairing itself.
