Skincare Treatment: …ten tips to stay youthful.

Posted by: admin  :  Category: skincare treatments

By Maria Andrew

As the clock ticks, it’s inevitable that our skin becomes more sensitive, dull, and dry. Fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin start to freak us out each time we face the mirror. With that in thought, no doubt that anti-aging skin care treatment is essential.

Below are the top 10 tips to live by for a youthful skin everyone desires:

1. Avoid sun exposure; it’s your skin’s number one enemy! Forget tan lines, as too much sun can burn your skin and may even cause skin cancer. If you really need to be outdoors, then apply sunscreen 20 minutes before exposure, preferably those with sun protection factor (SPF) 15 or higher. Re-apply as needed. Also, always be ready with an umbrella, hat, and sunglasses to very well shield your skin against the sun’s blazing rays.

2. Drink lots and lots of fluids. Keeping your skin regularly hydrated with water and fresh fruit juices will give you a healthier and firmer looking skin. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day also washes out harmful toxins in the body, which can cause premature skin aging.

3. Eat healthy food. Proper nutrition plays an important role in anti-aging skin care treatment. Gobble up more on fresh fruits and vegetables, and fiber rich foods. Avoid desserts, junk foods, and fried foods as much as you can, as these sweets and greasy treats can cause skin breakouts, making your skin look old.

4. Take skin vitamins. Start taking anti-oxidants and supplements that are truly advantageous to skin. Vitamins A, C, and E, beta-carotene and lycopene are great anti-oxidants. They can protect your skin from harsh free radicals that can ultimately damage cells and cause diseases.

5. Move that body. Don’t you just love how your skin glows right after working out? Exercising at least 3x a week will guarantee a healthier and more toned skin. If you find the gym boring or scary, you might as well engage in sports that interests you. Or do some brisk walking in the morning or walk the dog-anything that keeps your blood pumping!

6. Select your skin care products sensibly. Use a firming cream or moisturizer at night and a quality sunscreen during the day. Choose anti-aging products that contain key ingredients, such as collagen, Vitamin A, retinoids, Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids (AHAs and BHAs) to have a clearer and more youthful complexion. Exfoliate weekly to remove dead skin cells to reveal a fresh looking skin and further prevent wrinkles.

7. Hit the sack early and sleep like a baby. Depriving yourself of sleep or sleeping late can ruin your skin and make it look old-not to mention it can cause those panda-like dark circles and eye bags. Plus, skin regenerates best while you are sleeping, so get that much needed beauty rest.

8. Kick the stick. Generally, smokers look older than their real age and have more wrinkles than non-smokers. Smoking dehydrates the skin, which leads to skin cracking and breaking. So, quit smoking to not only prevent wrinkles and other signs of aging, but to also add more valuable years to your life.

9. Don’t get crazy with make-up. Wearing too much cosmetics can clog up your pores and cause many skin problems, which can contribute in old-looking skin. Light make-up like blush-on, lip gloss, and sheer foundation should be fine. Don’t forget to remove make-up traces before going to bed. Otherwise, you’ll greet the morning with an impending pimple or blackhead.

10.Smile for an express face-lift, free of charge. Many people forget how beneficial it is to smile-it effortlessly provides an instant blush to your face. Besides, it takes more muscles to frown than to smile.

Take off years and achieve a youthful complexion by following this anti-aging skin care treatment tips. Start today and you’ll surely be impressed with the results-younger looking skin that everyone will talk about.

Can all natural remedies replace my normal skincare routine?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: skincare treatments

I plan to use:

Oatmeal cleanser/exfoliator
Yoghurt and honey wash off mask
Apple cider vinegar/water toner
Tea tree oil spot treatment
Olive oil/Aloe vera gel as moisturiser (day)
Overnight honey mask (night)

I have normal skin, more dry than it is oily and mild papular acne.
Is this skincare routine sufficient and effective?

I, too have been on the road to discovering natural and alternative remedies.
I use oatmeal+lemon+honey as exfoliator and yes it works!
Also tea tree oil whenever a zit comes around. It has anti-bacterial properties. Don’t put too much though or it will dry up the spot where you put it.
For my hair mask, I whip up a good combination of mayonnaise+olive oil+honey. It really helps and it’s very effective. Sometimes coconut oil as well.

As for the toner, mask and moisturizer, I haven’t had a chance to try them out. I don’t really use toners.

But just be careful when trying natural remedies out as you might get allergic reactions from it. That would be the worst possible scenario. Other than that, I suggest you should know your medical history if you’ve had allergic reactions to these remedies you listed down. If not, then maybe you could go ahead and try them out.

What’s a good anti wrinkle cream for acne prone skin?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Uncategorized

I was wanting to use an anti wrinkle cream to prevent wrinkles because its easier to prevent then reverse. I work in aged care and some of the residents have the most amazing skin- no wrinkles! Because they used anti wrinkle cream from when they were 17-18. So I really want to use an anti wrinkle cream, but not sure which one would be the best for acne prone skin? Money is no object, I always use the expensive brands for my skin care. Really it’s what ever works the best reguardless of price

used motor oil works really well.

If a skincare set breaks you out, do you stop using it?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: skincare treatments

So I got clean and clear advantage set with a moisturizer, cleanser, and spot treatment, I’ve had it for nearly two weeks and used it basically every day but it has broke out my skin and I have more pimples than before, do I stop using it or is this how it works? Also it was a present from my mum. Thanks :)

Most treatments takes time for them to work. But two weeks? I say give it another week. If you don’t see any change then you should stop using it.

What skincare regimen should I use on my face?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: skincare treatments

I am 27 years old and I’m lost. When I was younger, I had terribly oily skin and bad acne so I was always using acne treatments. Now, the treatments that I used to use are severely drying to my skin. I tried a different system that is for normal skin and although it made my skin look beautiful and glowing, it made me break out! I’m stuck and I don’t know what to do with my sensitive, prone to breakout skin!

How old should you start anti-wrinkle cream?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Uncategorized

Me and my friends were talking about skin products last night and all said about our worry of getting old and having wrinkles.
So my friend who is 23 said that she started using anti-wrinkle cream at 22.
I am 22 and I am wondering if it worth spending some money already on this and whether my skin would get used to it and later not respond to anti-wrinkle creams. Do you believe this could happen?
ANd how old do you think women should start with this type of cream?

Actually, many wrinkle creams contain irritants and toxins that damage the skin. Most of the products, especially the "fast working" stuff irritates the skin so badly so that it swells to fill the wrinkles. You start using some of those products now, and you may be setting yourself up for worse skin down the road.

Honestly, I don’t think there’s any reason for someone your age to use anti-wrinkle products. If you want to do something good for your skin, moisturize, protect against sun damage, and don’t smoke. If you really must use a wrinkle products, make sure the only active ingredient is collagen. That’s pretty much the only anti-wrinkle product that won’t hurt your skin.

What are the differences between sclap psoriasis and Seborrhoeic Eczema?

What are the differences between sclap psoriasis and Seborrhoeic Eczema?

1) What are the differences of sclap psoriasis and Seborrhoeic Eczema (on sclap) ?
2) Can you same treatments for both conditions ?
3) Out of the two sclap conditions, Which is worst to have?
4) Do they go away after teenage pubrity?

1) Scalp psoriasis and seborrheic eczema share similar signs of itchiness, redness, and scaly skin. Most often, the scales of psoriasis are thicker and somewhat drier in appearance than are the scales of seborrheic dermatitis. In addition, psoriasis usually affects more than one area of the body. If you have scalp psoriasis, you may also have mild psoriasis on your elbows, knees, hands or feet or may notice subtle nail changes, such as pitting. You can refer to the chart on: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/scalp-psoriasis/AN01177

2) Different conditions require different involvement of treatment. For mild cases, an application of cream or lotion may suffice and be effective. For moderate cases, you may require UV light treatments or a treatment of pills or injections.

3) The conditions of both conditions are quite similar. You should check with your professional physician to see what you can do about your condition. Neither one is worse or better to have.

4) You can continue to develop the condition past puberty.

Psoriasis is a condition that has a red appearance and severe flakes-like snow flakes. It is often in patches and on the back of the scalp. People also get it on the body-elbows, hands and feet are common areas. You treat it with topical steroids- anti itch products. Theres many rx foams, oils and sprays. You need a derm to prescribe strong meds. Theres also other treatments like laser, pills and injections.

The other condition I think your referring to is seborrheic dermatitis. It is the medical term for dandruff. itching and mild scaling- not the red thick scaly patches like psoriasis. You use typical head and shoulders shampoos, TGEL, TSAL etc. and topical steroids like psoriasis.

Thenthreesepsoriasisis. which is both toether. Its dandruff with much thicker scale, almost looking like psoriasis. Treatments are the same-topical steroids.

All three are common chronic conditions-meaning you can deal with them forever and find the rightreatmentsts to manage it. You caDevelopop it any time of life and psoriasis is prob the worse to have. It has a more crazy itch and because you flake all over clothing its ofteembarrassingng and harder to treat

What are the skin brighteners in Caress Glowing Touch body wash?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Uncategorized

Is it just the mica sparkles, or are there actual ingredients that brighten your skin’s appearance?

Mica works as brighteners, but it cannot lighten the skin in anyway. If you have dark patches, then they will still be there with the mica on top.

No body washes can lighten skin.

Cheers!
